Sunny

Temp: Hi 68˚ Low 49˚

Wind: S 9-15 mph

With this much south wind this is the best day to catch fish on topwater, spinnerbait or crankbait. Look for the topwater fish along steeper banks and crankbait fish on 45˚ mixed or chunk rock banks with wind.

The cooler night will drop the water temperature look for the shad to move to the backs of creeks and pitch a finesse jig around wood cover. On the main lake look for gravel points with wind. This could make the smallmouth shallower than normal. Keep the boat in 25’ of water and make long casts to the shallower water.

With some clouds and wind this is a good day to cover water. Cast buzzbaits and spinnerbaits in shallow water around wood cover. Use a RockCrawler on transition or mixed rock banks with wind.
