Weather Conditions

Friday October 9, 2020

Partly cloudy with a chance of a thunderstorm

Temp: Hi 80˚ Low 60˚

Wind: SSE 7-10 mph

With this much south wind this is the best day to catch fish on topwater, spinnerbait or crankbait. Look for windy banks from the front to the middle portion of creeks.

On the main lake look for fish to be 5-15 feet deep on the wind-blown banks than those with less wind. Use a Jewel football jig or Pee Wee football jig. Look for likely areas on the Little Aunts Creek Map.

Have a 1oz jewel scuba spoon at the ready in case fish begin to chase the baitfish on the surface.

If it rains enough go to the back of any creek arm and look for active bait fish. Cast spinnerbaits and finesse jigs to the areas of active fish.

Saturday October 10, 2020

Mostly sunny

Temp: Hi 78˚ Low 60˚

Wind: E 3-6 mph

Be prepared for the toughest fishing conditions of the weekend on Saturday. With a light east wind getting fish to come up to eat a bait could be tough. Use a Whopper Plopper along steeper banks. Great areas on the Point 19 Map

Fish gravel points with a shaky head or pee wee football jig. Also check larger docks. Use the shade lines to your advantage and fish out to 35 feet deep.
