The jerkbait bite is improving and the fish are moving shallower. Key on secondary points with good mixed or ledge rock. Keep the boat in 20-25’ of water and cast to 5’ of water. The fish are suspended from 8-15’ deep. Keep moving and fishing the right banks you will find the fish. The clouds will only help the bite.

First thing Saturday morning go to the back of creek arms or steep guts with water coming into the lake. Slow a roll a spinnerbait or pitch a jig to any cover that is visible. If the water is flowing in from the creeks the fish will be aggressive early in the day. deep in water up to 80’ deep.

If the lake is rising by Sunday it could make the conditions tough. Go to the clear water on main lake channel swings and look for fish suspended around trees. If the fish are in the tops of the trees and less than 15’ deep throw a jerkbait. If the fish are suspended in the trees throw an A-rig or a 3”-4” swimbait.
