Weather Conditions

Friday June 11, 2021

Humid with sun and clouds

Temp: Hi 87˚ Low 71˚

Wind: SSW 6-8 mph

Head for the river and creek arms and look for a flipping bite. As the water continues to rise there are a few things to key on. Look for steeper banks that have bushes, if the bank is a bit steeper it positions the fish better to catch them. The flatter the bank the more scattered the fish. Then fish seem to be farther back in the creek arms but not all the way back. Try flipping the Strike King Rodent.

Saturday June 12, 2021

Mostly cloudy and humid; a stray thunderstorm in the afternoon

Temp: Hi 87˚ Low 71˚

Wind: W 5-8 mph

On this cloudy day the swimbait bite should be a very consistent bite. Look for fish on the surface or on the graph that are active and let the swimbait do its job. The fish could be a in water from 10’-30’ deep. Use the Keitech 2.8 or 3.3 on a 1/4oz head.

Sunday June 13, 2021

Partly sunny and humid; a thunderstorm in spots in the afternoon

Temp: Hi 89˚ Low 67˚

Wind: E 7-8 mph

As the water continues to rise the old bank line will become a bigger deal. There are two good options right now on the old bank line. One is a shaky head with a Senko the other is a Carolina Rigged Brush hog. These fish on the old bank line are from 7’-12’ deep. They are aggressive and hot once you set the hook.
