Really wanting to find a jerkbait bite so spent the day only throwing a Megabass and a SPRO. Most of the bites came from Baxter to around point 21 in the first 1/4 of the bigger creeks; Big Creek, Mill Creek, Big and Little Indian. Everything was on steeper rocky banks with small amounts of standing timber. Didn't have to pause either bait long, 3-6 seconds between jerks. Better fish were all on the Megabass 110 +1, nothing huge a solid 3# black was the best fish of the day. That fish and the other keepers all came on the end of channel swing bank transitions. |
Fishing Notes |

Look for channel swing ends with transition to smaller rock. Timber helped to isolate the fish and make them easier to find. |
