Location/Presentation/Structure
Started the day of putting in at Baxter, and fished Mid Lake, and caught a very nice Smallmouth, and several nice fish on a Blue Herring Spinner Bait. Most fish we found was on Channel Swinging banks, especially if the wind was hitting the bank most bites was near laydowns and within 10' of the bank. Then made a big move and went all the way to the back of the King's River. It turned out to be a very exciting move. Taking a spinnerbait and speed craw down the feeder creeks we caught several male bass, and a few nice females.
Fishing Notes

My Big Smallmouth came off of a nice laydown about 4′ off the bank.

Feeder creeks.. I would use my spinnerbait and throw over brush and logs, as soon as my bait hit the cover I would kill it. Speed craw, I was using kinda a bouncing presentation. Throwing on the bank and making short quick 3-4 bounces and then pause.

Also… Yes I did catch 3 with 1 keeper on a frog back in the feeder creeks. Just pitching it near cover and popping it once or twice.
