Fishing Notes |

Today I decided to test the reports of bass returning to the gravel points. I fished from Kings river, Shell Knob, and Campbell point. I finally got into them at Campbell point. I postioned boat in about 20ft of water and going into the wind. I casted bait to the shallows and slowly cranked the bait across the bottom, with a 1/4 ounce jig head/swimbait. The smallmouth were in 8 foot of water. At sunset I tried top water, I had one good hit but struck out. Overall the bite was slow, probably due to the recent front and high pressure. It’s still better than working! |
