Fishing Notes |

Fished the Cops for kids tournament on Saturday out of State Park Marina and struggled to get in a good bite. We fished from Brushy creek to Indian point. Caught two short fish around 7:45 on a Bass pro speed shad on a main lake flat 10-15ft deep. Didn’t catch our next fish until 10:00 a 14 3/4″ kentucky on a speed shad again. Went up the lake towards Indian point and caught a 2lb small mouth on a scrounger swim jig in 15ft of water at 2:30 around a dock with a gravel bottom. All around tough bite for everyone. Just under 16lbs won the tournament. There was over 160 boats in the tournament |
