I finally found the bass! Found them on cove and creek channel points out on the river. The points needed to be gravel, next to the channel. I found the fish by finding big balls of shad on my depth finder. The shad were bunched up in big schools. Lure of choice was the jewel scuba spoon, jigged off the bottom. Bass and bait were typically at 35 feet deep. I caught a few other bass on a pee wee football jig casting up to the point, dragging it into the deep water. |
Fishing Notes |

Lots of debris in water, up past Viola. Becareful of the logs. Water clarity is around 6 feet deep, the best this year. |
