After today's down pour I decided to try to repeat yesterday fun evening spooning bass in the deep. Unfortunately, the shad and bass pretty well moved. I finally found the shad and bass in Sweetwater creek, around the secondary points. The shad schools were big and hard to get the bass to bite. After two hours of struggling with those bass I started back toward the house. Before putting the boat up I decided to hit a point on the river with a nice flat on it. BAM! Pulled three decent smallmouth on rock Crawler. |
Fishing Notes |
---|
1. One inch of rain around Kings river, expect water to dirty up a little. 2. Lots of debris and logs in water from Viola to 86 bridge. Be careful! 3. After the rain the water temp dropped one degree. 58 degrees 4. Appears per my observations Shad and Bass might be heading into the creeks. |
