After a pretty slow week, took some time Thursday to scout, graph and mark areas on the mid-lake. Haven't see shad in the back of creek arms & coves just yet, so I pulled out a bit and stayed deeper. Found fish suspended in the mouth of coves of creek arms in 40-65ft of water. Friday morning did start to see a good amount of shad balls and fish chasing on the surface. Was able to land a few when they started to feed and chase; on the swimbait. When the party up top slowed down, went back to slow rolling the swimbait and had success. |
