Fishing Forecast

The Table Rock Lake Fishing Forecast is designed to help maximize the time you spend on the lake with catching more fish. The fishing forecast is constructed using a mix of historical data, tournament results, weather patterns and general lake conditions. One of the biggest elements is using actual information from recent time on the water. This gives a general snapshot of some of the best ways to catch fish at that current time.

The river bite continues to be strong. These fish are really positioned on the drops, roll offs and humps. They are set up on these gravel areas eating tiny crawfish (see photo). These fish are eating a shakey head, Carolina rigged brush hog but the new Jewel Pee Wee HD Football jig seems to be getting more bites. The fish are 15’-25’ deep on gravel roll offs. Some days they can be shallower and others they are deeper. There always seem to be multiple fish in the area if you get a bite. These fish are tight to the bottom so keep the bait pinned to the bottom. When they start generating water in the afternoon this bite can really get fired up and make it a fun day.

Saturday August 12, 2023

Partly sunny and uncomfortably humid
Temp: Hi 91˚ Low 72˚
Wind: SW 8-17 mph
A drop shot on bluff end trees has been producing plenty of bites. The fish are 25’-35’ in trees on bluff ends along the main lake. The fish are just relating to the trees. Trees can be deeper but the fish are 25’-35’ deep. The plum worm seems to be the best option. Use a 1/4oz weight to get the bait to the depth quickly. Once you get a school fired up you can catch several out of that group. It does help to move around to several spots in day but you can definitely come back to spots throughout the day and still get bites.

Sunday August 13, 2023

Cloudy and very humid with a thunderstorm
Temp: Hi 90˚ Low 71˚
Wind: S 6-10 mph
Summer is spoon jacking time but this year the fish on the deep docks have wanted the small slab spoon. There are plenty of fish around these deeper docks. The key is the dock. Larger docks are better, and the deep end needs to be at least 40’ deep. Pitch the little spoon into dock slips, along the shade line and near the dock cables. This bite gets better as the day progresses and its best to have a milk run of docks to rotate around throughout the day. Use forward facing sonar to see how active the fish are at each dock. If you see a group of fish chase the spoon stay on them. Active fish =  bites.
