The Table Rock Lake Fishing Forecast is designed to help maximize the time you spend on the lake with catching more fish. The fishing forecast is constructed using a mix of historical data, tournament results, weather patterns and general lake conditions. One of the biggest elements is using actual information from recent time on the water. This gives a general snapshot of some of the best ways to catch fish at that current time.

The football jig bite is still improving, and it is working all over the lake. There is one important factor to getting these fish to bite. It is the gravel roll offs. Focus on long gravel points that roll off into the river channel. There are fish on most of these locations in 12’-18’ of water, it just comes down to timing and when they will bite. The new Jewel Pee Wee HD is working great in the 5/8oz size. Keep the bait pinned to the bottom. The fish seem to want it moving a bite faster than one might expect and don’t be afraid to hop or pop the bait off the bottom occasionally. That can trigger a strike. Use bulky trailers and make sure to add a little orange to the bait.

The drop shot bite continues to catch fish. The fish are in 22’-30’ of water but the trees might be in up to 70’ of water. Using forward facing sonar look for groups of fish in the tops or higher up in the water column. These fish tend to be the most active. Use shad-colored baits on the drops shot rig. The Chompers drop shot worm has been working pretty well. You can usually catch several fish out of one tree. This is very much a timing deal depending on how well the fish bite in one area.

The topwater bite has been slower to form this year than the last few but it is getting better. Use the Whopper Plopper or Choppo and cover water. Look for steeper banks that are midway back in creek arms. They can be mixed rock but having some ledge rock seems to make the bite better. Plan on covering lots of water doing this. The bite can last all day but right now it seems to be best early and late.
