Fishing Forecast

The Table Rock Lake Fishing Forecast is designed to help maximize the time you spend on the lake with catching more fish. The fishing forecast is constructed using a mix of historical data, tournament results, weather patterns and general lake conditions. One of the biggest elements is using actual information from recent time on the water. This gives a general snapshot of some of the best ways to catch fish at that current time.

The drop shot bite is still good, but it fluctuates day-to-day. The fish are moving around a lot. The can be in the trees one day and on a flat the next day, but the best bite is on gravel. The fish are 25’-32’ deep on the bottom so keep a close eye on the graph and if it looks like a fish send the bait. The Chompers drop-shot worm has been the best option to catch these fish. Again you may have to hunt around to find the fish but when you do you can catch more than one in an area. Some fish will be around trees in the same area.

Saturday September 16, 2023

Partial sunshine
Temp: Hi 77˚ Low 58˚
Wind: W 5-9 mph
The football jig bite is continuing to improve. The better football jig bite is in the rivers. The fish are 12’-15’ deep on gravel points that have mixed rock near the roll-off. The new Jewel ½ oz Pee Wee HD has been working the best. The bait has a full skirt in the compact size and that really seems to be the key. Use a little orange on the pinchers. Keep the bait on the bottom but don’t be worried about hopping it occasionally. If you get a bite there should be multiple bites on the same spot but you will have to move around on the point.

Mostly sunny
Temp: Hi 82˚ Low 55˚
Wind: WNW 6-15 mph
In the last week or so there have been some fish that have begun to suspend over deep trees, and they are very catchable fish. Use FFS to find shad over these deep trees. When you find the shad, you will also find the bass. Use small swimbaits like a Keitech 2.8 and cast beyond the fish and swim the bait through the shad just above the bass. This tends to happen quickly. If you don’t get a bite mark the location and come back later and continue to search for more fish. The depth of the fish depends on where the shad are positioned. Use shad-colored baits.
