The Table Rock Lake Fishing Forecast is designed to help maximize the time you spend on the lake with catching more fish. The fishing forecast is constructed using a mix of historical data, tournament results, weather patterns and general lake conditions. One of the biggest elements is using actual information from recent time on the water. This gives a general snapshot of some of the best ways to catch fish at that current time.

Weather Conditions
Friday October 20, 2023
Pleasant with plenty of sunshine
Temp: Hi 75˚ Low 55˚
Wind: NNW 6-15 mph
The drop-shot bite is still consistent, but it has changed a bit as the lake has cooled. The fish are a bit deeper than they were but still on the gravel. Look for longer gravel points that could go out to 60’-70’ deep. Trees are not needed but can make it better. Look for groups of shad and you will also find smaller groups of bass. The most active fish are in 30’-40’ of water. The fish also seem to respond better to the bait if it cast beyond their location and the bait swings or pendulums to the fish. Try to make the come in right over the top of the fish. A plum or purple worm seems to be working the best.
Saturday October 21, 2023
Partly sunny and pleasant
Temp: Hi 77˚ Low 46˚
Wind: NNW 7-18 mph
The smallmouth seems to be getting more active but not necessarily shallower. A depth range of 20’-40’ is a wide range but a key range. Using the new Jewel PeeWee HD to make these fish bite. Using the heavier 5/8 oz in Basswacker for two reasons. The first is that is has orange in the skirt and the second is the heavier bait allows you to cover the depths faster to find out where the fish are located on that day. Use a Zoom speed craw and make sure to put some orange on the pinchers.
Sunday October 22, 2023
Sunny to partly cloudy
Temp: Hi 69˚ Low 50˚
Wind: ESE 7-16 mph
There is a Wiggle War/Rock Crawler bite. It can happen throughout the entire lake, but it seems best on the main lake and on days when the wind blows the most. The fish seem to want the bait moving faster rather than slower. The end of channel swings where the rock changes or is broken are the best spots. Have the boat about 12’ deep and cast to the bank the fish can be as shallow as 3’ deep. This is a good way to catch both largemouth and smallmouth. Brown color crankbaits with some orange seem to work well.
