The Table Rock Lake Fishing Forecast is designed to help maximize the time you spend on the lake with catching more fish. The fishing forecast is constructed using a mix of historical data, tournament results, weather patterns and general lake conditions. One of the biggest elements is using actual information from recent time on the water. This gives a general snapshot of some of the best ways to catch fish at that current time.

Weather Conditions
Friday January 30, 2026

Colder with some sun then turning cloudy.
Temp: Hi 26˚ Low 3˚
Wind: N 8-22 mph
The deep bite is still the best bite and should improve from the cold snap. Search the mouth of larger creek arms to about halfway back in the creek. Look for the schools of shad. Find the shad to find the fish. These schools of shad can be from 30’-60’ of water. The jig head and minnow and the ice jig are the best options for fish at these depths. Use a smaller profile bait, smaller also seems to be better. Keep searching for shad. The steady amount of water being pulled will help position the shad so they are not as scattered but will still be deep. The cold weather should keep the bait fish grouped up.

Saturday January 31, 2026

Mostly sunny and cold.
Temp: Hi 21˚ Low 13˚
Wind: NNW 7-15 mph
In several of the river arms there is a shad kill starting to happen. This is not widespread but more isolated in nature. If you find an area where there is a shad kill it seems the jerkbait it working. Again this is spotty points and wood cover seem to help this bite as well. Beware of ice in the James river arms in some cases you could fish right against the ice to get bite because of the shad kill.

Sunday February 1, 2026

Partly sunny not as cold.
Temp: Hi 36˚ Low 23˚
Wind: SW 7-15 mph
The A-rig bite is starting to get pretty good. The colder temperatures has helped the A-rig bite and seems to have made it better. Target main lake and secondary points with timber and brush on them. The fish seem to be in 15’-30’ of water. Having the wood cover is important. Smaller baits are working better. Use 2.8”-3.3” baits in a natural shad color. Using a larger bait in the middle or farthest back does seem to help. Steady retrieve gets the bite. You can get multiple bites in one spot but plan on fishing many spots throughout the day. Wind blowing directly onto the point is better than it coming from the side.
