Rain and a thunderstorm.

Wind: SE 8-13 mph
The A-rig bite is still producing fish. Focus on main lake and secondary points. The fish seem to be in 5’-20’ of water. This fish slideup and down almost daily in various depths that they are comfortable. Steady retrieve gets the bite. Use the wind to your advantage.
Saturday February 14, 2026
Cooler with rain
Temp: Hi 57˚ Low 44˚
Wind: SE 10-18 mph
The deep bite continues to be the best and most consistent way to catch fish right now. Look for shad. They have grouped up and if you find the shad you will find active fish. Focus on the mouth of larger creek arms to about halfway back in the creek. Once you find the shad you will find the bass. These fish are from 30’-60’ of water but the bass could be in any range if the shade is present. Jig head and minnow have been the best way to catch these fish.
Sunday February 15, 2026
Clouds and sun.
Temp: Hi 63˚ Low 42˚
Wind: NNE 12-28 mph
There is a jerkbait bite, but it is a little slow. It seems like the jerkbait bite is better in the rivers. It also seems the quality of the fish caught on a jerkbait is better. These jerkbait fish are shallow in 10’-15’ of water on main lake and secondary points. Having brush on timber on these points makes a big difference. It seems bone color and a +1 model are the color and depth range to use.
