Weather Conditions
Friday February 20, 2026

Times of clouds and sun.
Temp: Hi 48˚ Low 31˚
Wind: N 6-12 mph
The deep bite using a jig head minnow is still a consistent bite. Start in the first half of the major creek arms. The fish are in 20’-30’ of water but are sitting over 100’. So it will take some looking around to find the active fish. Shad help but not as critical as they were only a few weeks ago. Use shad colored jig head and minnow. When you see a small group of bass in the 20’-30’ range those are the fish that are most catchable.

Saturday February 21, 2026

Sun and clouds
Temp: Hi 46˚ Low 26˚
Wind: NNE 8-16 mph
There is a jerkbait bite, and it is improving. With the water being low brush piles on main lake and secondary points are in the perfect depth for a jerkbait running from 3’-10’ deep. The fish will come out of the brushpiles to get the jerkbait. This bite does seem a little better in the rivers, but fish can be caught in all parts of the lake. Bone has been a good color.

Sunday February 22, 2026

Sunny and cold.
Temp: Hi 41˚ Low 19˚
Wind: NNW 12-30 mph
The A-rig bite is still good and should only get better. Focus on main lake and secondary points that have brush and timber on them. Most of the A-rig fish are related to the cover in 20’-30’ of water.  These same fish will also be on the bottom and are easy to miss. They will be in the same depth range. If you see a fish on the bottom or it comes off the bottom towards the A-rig these are very catchable fish. Some wind helps this bite.
