The fishing forecast is constructed using a mix of historical data, tournament results, weather patterns and general lake conditions. One of the biggest elements is using actual information from recent time on the water. This gives a general snapshot of some of the best ways to catch fish at that current time.

Weather Conditions

Temp: Hi 82˚  Low 47˚
Wind: SSW 15-30 mph
The tube bite for quality Table Rock smallmouth is still going. This is a great way to catch fish right now. Just focus on gravel points. This is a hunt and peck deal as to what day which point is best. They have not been pulling much water, but when they do the bite is better. Drag the tube in 5’-15’ of water. It seems the fish are positioned differently on a cloudy day versus a sunny day. So you just must hunt around to find the depth they want to be in that day. Puke and green pumpkin are the best color options. These are mostly all smallmouth.

Saturday April 18, 2026

Windy and cooler with times of clouds and sun.
Temp: Hi 60˚  Low 38˚
Wind: NNW 15-33 mph
The jig head minnow is still a good way to catch fish, even with the spawn rolling. There are a lot of fish suspended around timber right now. The fish that were staging a week ago could begin to move out any day. The bigger minnows have been getting bites. Use the 5” and 6” in sizes. In many cases you will see the fish in the timber before you catch it. Use shad-colored baits and add a little bright color around the gills or under the body.

Sunday April 19, 2026

Plenty of sunshine.
Temp: Hi 70˚  Low 46˚
Wind: W 8-18 mph
The spawn this year has been weird, but the gravel bite has been good. Target gravel pockets with a Neko rig, Ned rig, split shot rig, pee wee football jig or a shakey head to get bites. These fish are in 2’-20’ of water. Light weight is best but that has been a challenge with the wind this spring. Keep the bait pinned on the bottom of the lake. The best color is green pumpkin with a little chartreuse. Drag any of these baits on the gravel to get bites, they could be spawn or pre spawn fish. It’s a really great way to get bites right now all over the lake.
