Weather Conditions
Friday June 5, 2026

Cloud cover with a couple of showers.
Temp: Hi 83˚  Low 65˚
Wind: SSW 8-17 mph
There is water in the bushes. This will likely be short lived due to the water being pulled. So do it while you can. Focus on the river arms and points. These fish are positioned on the points. Use a tube, jig or your favorite creature bait especially if the water has a good stain. This is a limited time deal with water dropping.

Saturday June 6, 2026

Mostly cloudy, humid with a thunderstorm.
Temp: Hi 81˚  Low 68˚
Wind: S 6-13 mph
The drop shot bite got very good very quickly. This is likely driven by the timing of post spawn/shad spawn/steady pulling water. It has really grouped up the fish positioning them and making them catchable. On the lower end of the main lake look at long gravel points or the ends of large community docks. This can be fast action but you need to see the fish around using FFS to locate the fish. There are two good baits to use a shad shaped worm or a brown and purple worm. These fish are in 15’-30’. This is a fun way to catch fish quickly right now.

Sunday June 7, 2026

Some sunshine and clouds with a shower and a heavy thunderstorm.
Temp: Hi 79˚  Low 66˚
Wind: SSE 7-14 mph
With the steady pull of water there is a deep bite happening around most of the lake. These fish are not too deep, usually 10’-20’ deep. These fish are more on the gravel points, but having some cover such as wood or larger rock can help.  There are three choices a Jewel Pee Wee football jig, flutter spoon and deep crankbait. Pick what you like best to get these bites. Point hop all day long if you find one bite on a specific point there are likely more fish to be caught. This is a timing deal. There at the right time it can be fun.
