Weather Conditions
Friday June 12, 2026
Mostly cloudy less humid.
Temp: Hi 85˚ Low 69˚
Wind: ESE 5-9 mph
The water started to come down then there was an influx of fresh water. So the water never left the bushes. They are continuously pulling water so, like last week this might not last too long. Focus on the river arms and points. These fish are positioned on the points. Use a tube, jig or your favorite creature bait especially if the water has a good stain. The water has already begun to drop go catch them while you can.
Saturday June 13, 2026
Mostly cloudy, humid with a thunderstorm.
Temp: Hi 86˚ Low 67˚
Wind: SSW 8-18 mph
With the steady pull of water there is a deep bite happening around most of the lake. These fish are in -20’ of water or less. It seems gravel is better, but having a few larger rocks, a brushpile or a roll off seem to position the fish better. It depends on the day, but there are three choices a Jewel Pee Wee football jig, flutter spoon and deep crankbait. Pick what you like best to get these bites. Don’t plan on sitting on one spot all day. Move around because this is a timing deal and when the fish get going it can be fun.
Sunday June 14, 2026
Cloudy not as warm with a shower and a heavy thunderstorm.
Temp: Hi 78˚ Low 57˚
Wind: N 9-15 mph
The deep bite has come on strong. It seems the drop-shot is the best option. These fish are moving and are grouped up due to the water being pulled so steadily. In the dam area of the lake focus on long gravel points or the ends of large community docks. This can be fast action. Use FFS to locate the fish. The best two baits are a shad shaped worm in a shad color or a brown and purple worm. These fish are in 15’-30’.
