The topwater bite is changing but still around. Target main lake and secondary channel swings. Focus on these key areas to get these bites. There are not a lot of bites doing this but the fish that you catch will be better quality fish. This is just a grind but there are better quality fish to catch doing this. It seems darker color baits are better.

The drop-shot bite is getting numbers of fish but not a lot of quality. The fish are on main lake points in 20’-30’ of water. These fish right now are catchable. If you find a good school stay with them until they stop biting. Don’t be afraid to bounce around looking for more spots to locate more fish. This bite is better when water is generated. Use a shad shape worm in shad colors.

There is a deep dock bite. It seems better on sunny days because it really positions the fish. These are larger docks that have 30’-50’ of water under them. There are two keys baits to use, and it just depends on the mood of the fish on that day as to which bait is better. Use a flutter spoon or a jig head and minnow. The flutter spoon is best in white or white with chartreuse in it and the use a natural shad color for the jig head and minnow. If you don’t see fish using FFS move to a different dock. Locating a school of fish is critical.
