Weather Conditions
Friday April 5, 2024

Mostly sunny.
Temp: Hi 65˚ Low 44˚
Wind: ENE 5-8 mph
There are fish that have moved into the areas where they are going to spawn. Look for gravel areas towards the back of creeks and around docks. Use the spilt shot to cover water quickly in these areas. Use a green pumpkin French fry or use a small Senko or small finesse worms. Coming off this cool front the fish will still be positioned but not as active. These fish should each a spilt shot rig when.
Saturday April 6, 2024

Partly sunny and nice.
Temp: Hi 70˚ Low 54˚
Wind: SE 12-31 mph
The A-rig bite may not be around much longer but right there are still fish to catch. If you fish down windy banks that have gravel and mixed rock the fish are shallow. These fish all seem to be in 10’ or less of water. This bite is better in areas that have a wind blowing directly on them and areas closer to spawning areas. These are fish that are not as close to spawning as the split shot fish. The best thing to do is to cover water.

Sunday April 7, 2024

Intervals of clouds and sun
Temp: Hi 72˚ Low 46˚
Wind: SW 12-30 mph
The wiggle wart/crawler bite is getting near the end. The fish are starting to get to spawning areas and they are moving there pretty quickly after a couple of warmer days. Fish areas that are gravel or mixed rock and fish that are getting pounded by the wind. Target the fish that are trying to get to the areas they want to spawn. Really focus on the wind to get these fish to bite. Crawfish colors with a little orange seem to be working best also the clear green (phantom) is working as well. These fish are 5’-10’ deep so use the wind to your advantage.
