Clouds and sun with a thunderstorm in spots.
Temp: Hi 84˚ Low 67˚
Wind: ESE 6-10 mph
The football jig bite is good from Kimberling City to up either of the river arms. These fish are on roll off points in 20’-30’ of water. The fish really want these baits pinned to the bottom. This bite is good early in the morning then gets tougher. When water is being pulled the bite really picks up and quality fish also start to show up. Plan on moving and to keep moving to find the active fish. You can go to several points with nothing then hit the right and load up.

Saturday July 27, 2024

Mostly cloudy with a thunderstorm around
Temp: Hi 82˚ Low 67˚
Wind: SE 6-12 mph
The big worm in brush is a consistent bite right now. Fish brush piles that are 15’-25’ deep. This can be in river arms or major pockets and creeks. Use FFS to locate fish in these brush piles and target them accordingly. If you see several fish on or around a brush pile these fish tend to be more aggressive. The bigger the worm the better 12” long is about right in plum. Plan on moving to many location throughout the day to keep finding fish.

Sunday July 28, 2024

Partly sunny and humid
Temp: Hi 87˚ Low 71˚
Wind: SW 8-16 mph
The drop-shot bite now seems to be best in trees. The fish are usually 20’-30’ deep in water up to 70’ deep. If you see groups of fish around trees on FFS these are the fish to try and catch. They can be caught quickly. Use a shad shape worm in a shad color or the plum 4” drop-shot worm. This bite is better when they are pulling water because it groups up the shad.
