Temp: Hi 72˚ Low 42˚
Wind: SSE 7-18 mph
Smallmouth are starting to show up. A Pee Wee football jig on main lake gravel in 18-25’ seems to be the best zone. These fish seem to be positioned more around brush and rockpiles so make sure to target those areas. If you get one bite stick with that area it is possible to get a bite or two on the same area. It tends to be better to come back to that spot later after getting a bite. Make sure to put orange or chartreuse on the pinchers.

Saturday October 19, 2024

Plenty of sunshine.
Temp: Hi 74˚ Low 44˚
Wind: SE 7-14 mph
There is a shallower bite using finesse baits. Dealers choice, use what you prefer a shakey head, Ned rig or tube bait. The color to use is green pumpkin and add a little chartreuse to the end of the bait, but only a little at the very end of the bait. Fish secondary gravel and rocky points in 10’-15’ of water. These fish are there but it is a slow bite. Plan on hopping around from spot to spot but you can get bites all day long doing this.

Sunday October 20, 2024

Plenty of sunshine.
Temp: Hi 74˚ Low 46˚
Wind: SE 6-14 mph
Use a drop-shot or spoon on main lake gravel. The bite is tough right now, but these fish are the most consistent. The fish seem to be in 25’-30’ of water but can be over 30’-100’ of water. If water is generated this will make the bite better. It makes the fish more aggressive in their feeding. The fish will be moving so make sure to stay with them on various points. If you don’t get a bite or see a fish move to the next spot until they are located. A white Jewel scuba spoon or a shad-colored bait on the drop-shot.
