The Pee Wee football jig on main lake points in the river arms. These fish are 12’-20’ deep. These fish seem to have gotten a little shallower with the water rising but getting stable. Keep point bouncing around until you find a spot with active fish. If you get one bite you should be able to get a couple of bites on the same spot. Add orange or chartreuse on the pinchers. Don’t be afraid to try scrubbing the jig on the bottom.

The swimbait/Damiki bite still seems to be the best bite on the lake. Cover large areas of the main lake looking for fish higher in the water column. Traverse the main lake river channel looking for small groups of fish that are higher int the water column. Then target them with shad-colored swimbaits and Damiki rigs. These fish are aggressive so if they don’t bite, find the next group of fish. You can travel several miles of lake doing this in one day.

Mild with intervals of clouds and sunshine.
Temp: Hi 67˚ Low 56˚
Wind: S 8-17 mph
Use a drop-shot rig around trees in guts of the creeks. The fish are not very far into the creeks. Start inside the mouth of the creeks/pockets and search for groups of shad once you find trees. Once you find the shad you will find the fish. The fish tend to be 20’-35’ deep over 40’-60’ of water. Plan on covering a lot of water on the trolling motor searching for the fish. If a fish doesn’t respond quickly when the bait it dropped find more fish.
