The Rock Crawler bite is pretty good right now. The water has come up due the rain. Clover lots of water and on 45˚ banks that have larger rocks mixed with them. The larger rocks and wood mixed along the these types of banks are holding fish. Clouds and wind really helps this bite. This bite can be found in rivers and in the clear water, but it is bank specific. Use crawfish-colored Rock Crawlers crankbaits.

The swimbait/Damiki bite is gaining steam each week. Larger creek arms that have splits and start in the guts of these creeks looking for shad. Target any groups of bass with shad-colored swimbaits and Damiki rigs. These fish are on the move with the shad. The small groups of bass that are higher in the water column are the most catchable fish and most aggressive. If they don’t bite immediately, find the next group of fish. Keep moving don’t get caught trying to make the fish bite, find new fish.
Sunday December 22, 2024
Partly sunny.
Temp: Hi 48˚ Low 36˚
Wind: SSE 7-21 mph
There is a spinnerbait bite it is best on windy cloudy days right now. This seems to better in the river arms and is shallow. Bigger sized spinnerbait slow rolling it in the water that is at least stained is the best. These are better quality fish. Look for banks that are like what you would throw a Wiggle Wart on 45˚ banks that have larger rock or wood on them. With the water coming up if you find wood cover just in the water the fish will be positioned. Use a white spinnerbait with a larger rear willow leaf blade and small Colorado blade. This bite will be short lived with colder weather coming and if they pull the lake down.
