Weather Conditions
Friday January 24, 2025

Partly sunny and not as cold.
Temp: Hi 44˚ Low 31˚
Wind: SW 7-22 mph
The A-rig bite is the best bite on the lake right now. On the main lake key on bluff ends with standing timber. In the river arms key on channel swing banks where the rock changes. On the main lake look for fish higher in the water column. This bite is much better when water is being generated. Use a standard A-rig of your choice. It seems smaller shad-colored baits are better on the outer rigs and a larger shad swimbait in a slightly darker color with a chartreuse tail is better on the center rig.

Saturday January 25, 2025

Cloudy.
Temp: Hi 50˚ Low 25˚
Wind: SW 8-21 mph
The swimbait/Damiki bite continues but is changing. Start by looking for groups of shad. They can be in either the main lake or creek arms. The fish that are higher in the water column are actively feeding fish and more catchable. These fish are also moving fast and can be a challenge to stay with during the day. Use shad-colored swimbaits and Damiki rigs. One of the best ways to continue to catch fish is to keep moving and looking for new fish to target. Plan on being on the trolling motor and looking at the FFS screen all day.

Sunday January 26, 2025

Cloudy.
Temp: Hi 42˚ Low 26˚
Wind: ESE 10-28 mph
There is a jig bite in the river arms. It seems to be very specific. Focus on wood cover on 45˚. You can go long stretches will no bites and then catch several fish in a short period of time. Visible wood cover seems to be the best place to get bites. If there is a larger rock that is basketball size or bigger these tend to hold fish as well. A Jewel finesse jig of your choice with the skirt trimmed. Use a craw trailer that does not have a lot of action, the Jewel finesse craw is a good option. Fish very slowly and use the wind to your advantage.
