Weather Conditions
Friday April 11, 2025

Partly sunny.
Temp: Hi 61˚ Low 41˚
Wind: NNW 9-28 mph
There is a spinnerbait bite in the river arms. The first thing to do is to find the stained water. After that focus on windblow banks. Look in larger creeks and pockets but the fish seem to be positioned on the old bank line. The spinnerbait bite can change during the day with fish moving up and down. Use the wind and stained water to your advantage. Use a 3/8oz or 1/2oz spinnerbait in chartreuse and white or coleslaw colors.

Saturday April 12, 2025

Sunny.
Temp: Hi 70˚ Low 53˚
Wind: SSE 7-16 mph
Use a wobble head or a shakey head on chunk rock and gravel mixed banks. The fish are sitting on the old bank line, they can be from 5’-15’ deep. These fish are aggressive. Use a 1/2oz up to a 3/4oz head to cover the water efficiently. Try bulkier baits like a baby brush hog, Senko or Beaver style bait in green pumpkin or something with a little purple in it. If it looks like a spawning area this would be a good place to throw these baits.

Sunday April 13, 2025

Mostly sunny.
Temp: Hi 82˚ Low 56˚
Wind: S 13-30 mph
Use a glide bait on windblown main lake banks. Key on main lake and secondary transition banks that are getting hit directly with wind. Cast the bait as close to shore as possible and bring it back at a slow steady retrieve. The fish are in 0’-5’ of water so they are shallow and aggressive. Don’t get stuck in one place too long, keep moving to keep finding new fish. Use a shad-colored bait from 8”-10” in size.
