Weather Conditions
Friday April 18, 2025

Breezy and warm with cloudiness.
Temp: Hi 81˚ Low 58˚
Wind: SW 14-30 mph
Use the glide bait in staging areas that have ledge rock and gravel. Wind blowing directly into these areas is always better. If you can find these areas with wood it can really help pinpoint the fish. Cast the bait as close to shore as possible and bring it back at a slow steady retrieve. The fish are in 0’-5’ of water so they are shallow and aggressive. Use a shad-colored bait from 8”-10” in size.

Saturday April 19, 2025

Cooler with periods of rain.
Temp: Hi 64˚ Low 56˚
Wind: WSW 10-28 mph
The fish are getting shallow quickly and repositioning with how fast the water has come down. Use a 1/4oz or 5/15oz shakey head with a green pumpkin or watermelon red trick worm. Focus on chunk rock and gravel mixed banks. These fish are from inches of water to 15’ deep. You can also try bulkier baits like a baby brush hog, Senko or Beaver style bait in green pumpkin or something with a little purple in it.

Sunday April 20, 2025

Cloudy windy and rainy.
Temp: Hi 69˚ Low 46˚
Wind: SSW 15-45 mph
There is a chatterbait/spinnerbait bite in the river arms. Key on secondary points leading into spawning pockets. This bite tends to be better if there is some stain in the water. Look for those secondary points that are chunk rock with gravel mix and if they have boat docks all the better. Use a 3/8oz or 1/2oz spinnerbait in chartreuse and white or coleslaw colors.
