Humid with times of clouds and sun.
Temp: Hi 93˚ Low 72˚
Wind: SW 8-16 mph
The large commercial and community dock spoon bite is still going. This bite is best on sunny days and more so in the morning. Focus on docks that are 70’ deep or deeper with the fish suspended in 15’-30’ of water. The James Watson WorldWide spoon seems to be the best in white. A little chartreuse is also good to have on the bait. The reason this bite is better in the morning is because as people start using the docks for the day the fish get less active. Plan on moving to multiple docks during the day.
Saturday July 12, 2025
Humid with considerable cloudiness and a couple of heavy thunderstorms.
Temp: Hi 84˚ Low 70˚
Wind: SW 6-17 mph
The summer drop-shot bite on the main lake is really starting to get strong. Focus on main lake gravel roll-off points. The fish seem to be 20’-30’ feet deep. The 4” plum worm is a good option. Keep moving all day long to keep finding more fish. One point can be better than others and the fish will also fire up on different points at different times during the day.
Sunday July 13, 2025
Cloudy and humid with a couple of showers and a thunderstorm, mainly in the afternoon.
Temp: Hi 83˚ Low 68˚
Wind: WSW 7-10 mph
The river arm offshore bite is still a good option. The fish seem to be in 15’-25’ of water. Bait can be a day-to-day thing, so plan on working a little to figure out what is best that day. A spoon, deep diving crankbaits, football jigs and even smaller swimbaits have been working. These fish fire up at different times of the day, and a 20-pound bag of fish is possible. You will have to fish multiple spots throughout the river arm to find the active fish at any particular time of day.
