The summer off-shore drop-shot bite continues to be a strong pattern. Focus on the main lake gravel points up and down the lake and key in on the roll-offs. The fish seem to be 20’-30’ feet deep. The 4” Chompers brown and purple laminate worm is a good option. Don’t get stuck trying to make fish bite, keep moving all day long to find active catchable fish. One point can be better than others and the fish will get active on different points at different times during the day.

Sunny to partly cloudy and very warm.
Temp: Hi 97˚ Low 73˚
Wind: SW 7-16 mph
There is topwater bite beginning to happen. It should continue to improve over the next month, but locations will change. Target main lake and secondary points with a whopper plopper or a walk the dog bait. This is a bite that can happen throughout the day. The fish are shallow in 3’-4’ of water and mainly positioned on the old bank line.
Sunday July 20, 2025
Partly sunny and very warm.
Temp: Hi 96˚ Low 74˚
Wind: SW 7-15 mph
There is a good brush pile bite in the river arms. Look for brush piles in 20’-30’ of water. This is a milk run type of deal and timing matter. You can fish 10 brush piles and catch zero from five and then the other five catch 20lbs. Timing matters sometimes cycling back through the same brush piles can get more bites. Texas rig 10” or bigger plastic worms, plum seems to be the best color. Use as light a weight a possible but 5/16oz to 1/2oz seems to be about right.
