The fishing forecast is constructed using a mix of historical data, tournament results, weather patterns and general lake conditions. One of the biggest elements is using actual information from recent time on the water. This gives a general snapshot of some of the best ways to catch fish at that current time.

Friday July 25 2025

Mostly sunny.
Temp: Hi 93˚ Low 73˚
Wind: SE 6-17 mph
With water generation slowing and temperatures rising, a thermocline will be quick to develop. This will cause the fish to suspend. Target fish in the 20’-30’ range with a jigging spoon or drop-shop. It seems the spoon works better when the fish are more active, and the drop-shot works better when the fish are more neutral. Look for these fish on main lake, gravel roll offs. Plan on bouncing to many spots during the day.

Saturday July 26, 2025

Mostly sunny and humid.
Temp: Hi 91˚ Low 72˚
Wind: SSW 7-15 mph
There is shallow topwater bite beginning to happen. This should continue to improve over the next month. These fish are shallow. Do not expect tons of bites doing this and bite changes from day-to-day. The fish can be on transition banks then in the backs of the creeks. Use a whopper plopper or buzzbait and make sure you get the bait close to shore. It seems black is the best color to be using.

Sunday July 27, 2025

Humid with sunshine and some clouds.
Temp: Hi 92˚ Low 72˚
Wind: SW 6-15 mph
There is a second way to catch the deep fish, but it is somewhat specific. Your boat can be in water from 50’-100’ deep. Focus on bluff ends that have standing timber. Those trees need to come within 20’-30’ of the surface. The fish are within a few feet of the top of the tree. They are reacting to jigging spoons, flutter spoons and drop-shot rigs. If the fish don’t fire quickly search for a new tree until you find active fish.
