Now with the lake stabilized the fish are in a full-on summertime patter. The drop-shot bite is the best way to catch fish right now. The fish are on gravel main lake points or bluff ends. The fish are in 20’-30’ of water but could be sitting over as deep as 100’ of water. Bounce around to multiple spots and look for smaller groups of active fish. These are the ones the target. When that slows move on to the next spot. The 4” plum worm seems to be working best.

Saturday August 2, 2025

Sunshine and pleasant.
Temp: Hi 79˚ Low 59˚
Wind: ENE 6-10 mph
There is a pretty good bite still in the river arms. These fish are in brush piles that are in 20’-30’ of water. Bounce from spot to spot and you should continue to pick off fish throughout the day. This bite gets better when current is being generated. Use a worm that is from 10”-13” in length. Plum and Junebug are the best colors. If you don’t get a bite in a brush pile circle back to it later the fish may bite, this can be a timing deal.

Sunday August 3, 2025

Pleasant with partial sunshine.
Temp: Hi 80˚ Low 63˚
Wind: ESE 6-9 mph
There is a good spoon bite on large commercial docks. This bite seems to be happening all over the lake. Targe large community or commercial type docks that sit over deep water up to 100’ deep. The fish are suspended in 15’-25’. This really helps to cover water quickly. Use the big flutter spoon in chrome and a slab spoon in white. Plan on fishing a lot of docks and it will pay off.
