Weather Conditions
Friday September 19, 2025

Partly sunny and humid.
Temp: Hi 82˚ Low 61˚
Wind: SSW 6-15 mph
The football jig starting to improve but is best early in the day and when they are pulling water. These fish on main lake and secondary points, throughout the lake. The fish are in 10’-20’ of water and if there is any kind of wood they are holding to that wood. Use a 5/16oz Pee Wee football jig in Hail Mary or PB&J. Keep the bait compact so use a trailer that is not too long. Try to really focus on the wood cover unless they are pulling water. Plan on fishing a lot of points during the day to get the bites.

Saturday September 20, 2025

Times of clouds and sun with a couple of showers.
Temp: Hi 80˚ Low 64˚
Wind: SSW 6-15 mph
There is Wart/Crawler bite happening. Use what you prefer, a wiggle wart or a rock crawler. Target channel swing banks that have ledge rock mixed in with them. The mixed rock near the ledges is an important detail. Make long casts and fish the bait with a steady retrieve. The fish are in 6’-12’ of water. Fish your favorite crawfish color but having a little splash of orange on the bait seems to help. Don’t just fish down a bank key on channel swings and ledge banks with large rocks mixed in.

Sunday September 21, 2025

Hot with some sun, then turning cloudy
Temp: Hi 82˚ Low 63˚
Wind: S 6-18 mph
Fish are really getting to the wood cover in the backs of creeks. With the water beginning to fall a little faster than it has for the last month it could slow this bite down. Plan on going in and out of creeks and pockets to find laydowns and wood cover. Use a spinnerbait, chatterbait, buzzbait, spook or jig to get bites. It can be slow, but the quality is better. You will find that one of the baits will work better than others on any given day. Bet on the jig most of the time.
