Sunny and hot.
Temp: Hi 93˚ Low 66˚
Wind: S 5-10 mph
Fall patterns are finally starting to show up. There is some schooling activity in the backs of creeks. These active fish don’t last too long but it can be early in the morning. Be on the water at first light. Key on creeks that have schools of bait and standing timber. Use a bone-colored spook first then try a shad colored 3.3 Keitech to catch these fish quickly.

Saturday September 13, 2025

Partly sunny to sunny and hot.
Temp: Hi 94˚ Low 67˚
Wind: SSW 6-7 mph
The fall football jig bite is arriving. With the water level being held so steady it is positioning these fish on main lake and secondary points. These fish are in 10’-20’ of water and if there is any kind of wood they are holding to that wood. Use a 5/16oz Pee Wee football jig in Hail Mary or PB&J. Keep the bait compact so use a trailer that is not too long. Try to really focus on the wood cover and plan on fishing a lot of points in a day to keep getting bites.

Sunday September 14, 2025

Hot with some sun, then turning cloudy
Temp: Hi 92˚ Low 66˚
Wind: S 6-14 mph
The first fall crankbait fish are starting to bite. Target channel swing banks that have ledge rock mixed in with them. The fish are still a bit deeper. They are in 10’-15’ of water and they seem to like the Rock Crawler better because of this. Fish your favorite crawfish color but having a little splash of orange on the bait seems to help. Don’t fish long banks key on channel swing banks that have ledge or stretches of bank that have the ledge rock just under the water.
