Weather Conditions
Friday October 17, 2025

Mostly sunny.
Temp: Hi 80˚ Low 62˚
Wind: S 7-22 mph
The football jig bite seems to be good all over the lake. Target main lake and secondary points, throughout the lake using a Jewel 1/2oz or 5/8oz pee wee football jig. The fish are in a wide range of water depth and can be from 5’-35’ of water. This seems to vary on the day. The more sunny and less wind the deeper. More clouds and wind the shallower they tend to be. PB&J and Green Pumpkin Orange seem to be working the best. Keep the bait as compact as possible. Plan on fishing a lot of points during the day to get the bites.

Saturday October 18, 2025

Mostly cloudy with showers.
Temp: Hi 69˚ Low 47˚
Wind: SSW 8-22 mph
The glide-bait bite is still good but there are fewer bites, however it is the best way to catch a bigger fish. Target main lake and secondary points that have wind blowing on them. These fish are generally shallow and will be from the bank to about 10’ of water. Make longer casts right to the bank. Use shad-looking glide baits and keep the bait moving. Plan to fish in a lot of locations to get these bites. Just keep moving and finding new fish.

Sunday October 19, 2025

Plenty of sunshine and breezy.
Temp: Hi 65˚ Low 45˚
Wind: NW 9-28 mph
There is a good spinnerbait and Rock Crawler bite in the river arms. Focus on channel swing banks in the creek. The more wind the better. The best bite will be when the wind hits the channel swing bank directly. The wind is the biggest factor to getting these fish to bite. Use a white or mouse spinnerbait. Pick your favorite craw colored rock crawler. This bite is really fun right now.
