10/3/20 Kings River Viola to 86 Bridge

10/03/2020

Today, we fished a pattern i've been doing good on for the last week.  Channel swing transition banks and main river points where it goes from pea gravel to chunk rock.  Overall, the bite was pretty slow but the guys I had on my trip were patient and were able to catch a decent bag.  60% of fish were coming from the 1.5 square bill and 40% were from the pee wee football jig.  We did get a bonus fish off the jig...3lb flathead, which went into the livewell.  A great day with guys wanting to learn and apply skills!
